These Terms of Use and Privacy Policy apply to your use of BizResit.

Effective date

These Terms of Use and Privacy Policy are effective as of the date you use BizResit.

Important notice (Malaysia / e-Invoice)

BizResit is a receipt and invoicing application. BizResit is not a licensed intermediary and does not submit e-Invoices on your behalf as an intermediary. If you choose to submit e-Invoices to LHDN (including via MyInvois APIs), you do so as a taxpayer using your own credentials, tokens, client ID and client secret (or any other authentication mechanism required by LHDN / MyInvois).

You are solely responsible for the accuracy, completeness, legality, and integrity of all data you input, generate, store, transmit, or submit to LHDN or any third party. BizResit does not validate your statutory compliance and does not provide tax advice or legal advice.

BizResit does not store your taxpayer client ID and client secret on BizResit servers. If you enter such credentials into the app, they are intended to remain on your device and are used only to authenticate you as a taxpayer when interacting with LHDN / MyInvois.

User responsibilities

You agree to: (a) use BizResit in compliance with applicable laws and regulations in Malaysia; (b) keep your own taxpayer credentials secure; (c) ensure that any invoice, customer, product, and supporting documentation is accurate and lawful; and (d) verify outputs before using them for any filing, submission, or statutory purpose.

PDPA (Personal Data Protection Act 2010)

You are the data user/data controller for any personal data you collect or process using BizResit. You must ensure you have a lawful basis and appropriate notices/consents for collecting, using, and disclosing personal data (including customer names, contact details, addresses, and any uploaded images).

BizResit is provided as a tool. BizResit is not responsible for your PDPA compliance, your privacy notices, your retention policies, or any unauthorised collection/disclosure by you or your users. You are responsible for responding to data subject requests, complaints, and regulatory inquiries.

What BizResit stores

BizResit may store your business data such as invoices, customers, products, and optional images you attach. Depending on your setup and future features, this data may be stored on your device, on BizResit servers, or both. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to store and process this data, and for managing access to it.

Any data submitted as an e-Invoice to LHDN / MyInvois is the same data you set on your invoice. BizResit does not create, alter, or control that content — it originates entirely from you. BizResit does not hold your e-Invoice keys (including client ID, client secret, or other LHDN / MyInvois authentication credentials).

Security

We take reasonable measures within the app to protect data; however, no system is perfectly secure. You are responsible for protecting your device, using strong passwords where applicable, and keeping your credentials confidential.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, BizResit and its developers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or business interruption arising from or related to your use of BizResit, including any e-Invoice submissions, PDPA matters, penalties, interest, or enforcement actions.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia. Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Malaysia, unless otherwise required by applicable law.

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of BizResit after updates constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
